Won't You Be My Neighbor?

We have this neighbor across the street from us. His name is Chester. I don't mind sharing his name, because it's not like he's gonna read this anytime soon. Anyways, he's one of "those" neighbors you have to try to avoid sometimes. Don't get me wrong, he's super nice and all, but the man will talk your ear off! Chester is an older gentleman, with a lot to say, and not so nice timing in sharing it all with you.

Yesterday, Jon and I were trying to enjoy the nice weather and our quiet time when Eli was laying down. So, we figured it was a good time to get out and plant some flowers. Well, not so good idea. Chester was out. Honestly Chester is always out!!!! (He sits and waits for our mail lady EVERY day for like an hour before hand. He'll pace back and forth until she comes around.) In trying to get somethings done outside, Chester managed to share with us about the most random things. It started off with talking about our big tree in our front yard, to his, to the neighbors back in the day, to air conditioning, to his old drinking days, then to his dogs and how they are like children and how he feeds them chicken nuggets (which makes sense to why they are so fat), to the neighbors we have now and how they can't fix a thing, to everything else in the world. All in a matter of 15 minutes my friends! UGH!!! And not only does he talk a lot, he talks LOUD. He also likes talking from across the street so you can barely make out a word he says when cars go by. You think that he would stop talking when there's traffic, but oh no, he'll carry on. But yesterday he brought the conversation to our yard. Another big UGH. This woke Elijah (because he talks soooo loud)

All in all, I do have to be honest. He's a very nice man, and I wish that there were more people like him around, well, minus the constant talking that is. You see, the city I am originally from, you never had nice neighbors like that. Not any really close at least. So, I have to try to be grateful that he isn't someone I wouldn't want to live across from.

Thursday

I've been wanting to blog for quite sometime now. Thanks to my friend Dena, she pointed me in the right spot to start! But bare with me while I get the hang of it all. Being a mother of a 6 month old, does not always permit me the freedom I once owned. So, here's to getting inside my head!
